A Smarter Choice for QEGS Library
When Shannon Bridger stepped into her new role as librarian at Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School (QEGS) in the UK, it didn’t take long for her to identify the school’s biggest library challenge: an outdated and difficult-to-navigate system that was frustrating both staff and students.
“I had used Infiniti in a previous school and found its interface to be really intuitive. The customer service was always prompt and helpful.”
That experience made the decision easy. One of Shannon’s first actions at QEGS was to transition the school to Concord Infiniti, supplied in the UK by PSP.
“The switch was very easy. Any issues came from the old system, and the Infiniti team worked hard to adapt the muddled information we provided.”
Modern features that work the way you do.
Infiniti’s cloud-native design was a welcome change from the legacy system at QEGS.
“Compared to other systems, Infiniti is very easy to navigate. I don’t get lost like I used to. The dashboard makes it efficient to get my daily tasks done without clicking through multiple layers.”
Shannon highlights features that help her stay on top of everything: overdues and reservations are accessible at a glance, and the reporting tools are flexible and simple to use.
“Generating reports is much easier, with the options to build the report – making it easy to add, remove and replace depending on what I need.”
Giving students greater independence.
Infiniti has also changed how students engage with the library.
“One of my favourite features is the individual login. Students can now see the books they’ve borrowed and how long they’ve got left until they’re due.”
Beyond saving time, Shannon sees the broader value in creating a more independent and inclusive experience.
“Students are now browsing on their own. I’ve seen searches for LGBTQ+ books and topics like bullying – things some might be hesitant to ask about. They can find what they need without feeling uncomfortable.”

Streamlined profiles, powerful insights.
Infiniti’s user profiles have also helped Shannon streamline her day-to-day interactions.
“I love that each profile shows Loans, Loan History, Reservations, Notes and Fines – all in one place. If I catch a student who rarely visits, I can deal with everything at once without jumping between pages or running multiple reports.”
She’s particularly fond of the Notes function.
“I set reminders for myself – like asking a student whether they’d recommend a new book. It makes my interactions more personal and meaningful.”
Positive feedback from students.
Librarians, students and student librarians at QEGS have fully embraced Infiniti.
“My student librarians love it. They hated the old system because it was hard to fix mistakes. With Infiniti, it’s simple. Even if they click away from the Circulation tab, they can come right back.”
She even notes that some students compete to see who can borrow the most books. They love watching their loan history numbers go up!
Supporting learning with LibPaths.
Infiniti’s integration with Concord’s digital curation platform, LibPaths, has also made a visible impact.
“LibPaths gives students independence. They can search the library system for books that interest them – and I can track what they’re looking for. It helps me make better purchasing decisions and suggestions.”
LibPaths’ curated digital resource portals offer an engaging way for students to access relevant, high-quality content that supports both research and recreational reading.
A platform worth recommending.
Since transitioning to Infiniti in 2022, Shannon’s verdict has been clear.
“I would absolutely recommend Infiniti – and PSP in the UK – to other school library teams.”
