FAQ’s

Below are the seven most common questions asked about Infiniti and LibPaths by Library Teams, IT Teams, Curriculum Coordinators, Teachers, and School Leadership Teams.

Unlike other LMSes, Infiniti is a “cloud-native” web 2.0 app meaning it is 100% web site, so it is just like other web sites you use for online shopping, booking events, making appointments, and many other daily activities.

So if you and your Library Team are familiar with how other web sites look, feel, and function, you will be immediately comfortable using Infiniti. The most common feedback is that Infiniti is intuitive.

No need jump from menu to menu to move between library modules and functions; navigate using browser backward and forward buttons, hyperlinks, and icons. Just go where your nose takes you and create your own “Hanzel&Gretel” trail as you go!

And, if you need to do two or more different different tasks at the same time, no problem. Infiniti’s built-in multi-tasking capabilities allow you to compare catalogue and circulate simultaneously, adjust records side-by-side, and compare reports.

We recognised that nobody wants to learn how to use a new library management system, so we created an interface that is so intuitive that you will feel confident and comfortable using Infiniti from the moment you first login.

Unlike other systems that are heavily menu driven and require operators to click into multiple layers of menus and sub-menus to complete many everyday tasks, Infiniti uses a unique “Hansel&Gretel” navigation system coupled with hyperlinking and multi-tasking tools that mean you will know your way around almost immediately.

But, just to make sure you become a power user quickly, you and your library team will be supported through your initial training webinars as you quickly discover the ease with which everyday tasks are completed.

And, the web functionality provides an intuitive and logical workflow on a clean presentation interface to ensure your team will immediately enjoy working with Infiniti.

LibPaths is for curating digital resources. Digital curation encompasses the collection, organisation, and sharing of digital resources.

In the past you have filled your library with books and other physical resources and organised and shared them using your library management system. But education has rapidly evolved, especially in the last few years.

You have to consider digital resources (audio, video, PDF, web sites, eBooks, eTexts, interactive challenges, and other media) to support teaching and learning. This where LibPaths becomes important.

LibPaths provides the tools you need to curate, organise, and share digital resources and can be integrated with Infiniti to include physical resources.
