Our current LMS is clunky to use and navigate. How long will it take for us to become Infiniti power users?
Unlike other LMSes, Infiniti is a “cloud-native” web 2.0 app meaning it is 100% website, so it is just like other websites you use for online shopping, booking events, making appointments, and many other daily activities.
So if you and your Library Team are familiar with how other websites look, feel, and function, you will be immediately comfortable using Infiniti. The most common feedback is that Infiniti seems like a normal website.
No need to jump from menu to menu to move between library modules and functions; navigate using browser backward and forward buttons, hyperlinks, and icons. Just go where your nose takes you and create your own “Hanzel&Gretel” trail as you go!
And, if you need to do two or more different different tasks at the same time, no problem. Infiniti’s built-in multi-tasking capabilities allow you to move between modules without navigating a menu to cross check catalogue records, adjust records side-by-side, issue loans, and compare reports, and more simultaneously.
How long will it take for me to become a power user of Infiniti?
We recognised that nobody wants to learn how to use a new library management system, so we created an interface that is so intuitive that you will feel confident and comfortable using Infiniti from the moment you first login.
Unlike other systems that are heavily menu driven and require operators to click into multiple layers of menus and sub-menus to complete many everyday tasks, Infiniti uses a unique “Hansel&Gretel” navigation system coupled with hyperlinking and multi-tasking tools that mean you will know your way around almost immediately.
But, just to make sure you become a power user quickly, you and your library team will be supported through your initial training webinars as you quickly discover the ease with which everyday tasks are completed.
And, the web functionality provides an intuitive and logical workflow on a clean presentation interface to ensure your team will immediately enjoy working with Infiniti. Common feedback is that Infiniti is intuitive.
We have a comprehensive catalogue. What is the process for migrating our data to Infiniti?
We do the heavy lifting when it comes to end-to-end migration from your current library management system to Infiniti.
We have extensive experience migrating schools from Oliver V5, Oliver 3, Alice, Libcode, AccessIT, Destiny, Bibliotech, OCLC, Spydus, TLC, Smart Suite, Bookmark, Reading Cloud, Micro Library System, and Libero.
Send us your backup and, in most cases, 48 hours later you will be looking at your data in your AWS Infiniti cloud.
We use Single Sign On (SSO) on our school network. Can we use single sign on with Infiniti and LibPaths?
Absolutely! SSO is self serviceable in both Infiniti and LibPaths. Your IT Team can choose from AD, LDAP/S, SAML 2.0, MS Azure/Entra, OpenID Connect, Google Identity Service.
Students and teachers can authenticate to your school network and move back and forth between applications like; Infiniti, LibPaths, subscription services, learning management systems, and other systems in your SSO ecosystem.
We have comprehensive circulation history. Can we transfer this to Infiniti?
We know how important historical circulation data can be for statistical reporting and budget planning so we ensure all your circulation history and statistics data is transferred from your legacy library management system to Infiniti during data migration.
Better still, after data transfer, Infiniti will automatically adjust its built-in analytics and charts capabilities to your historical data so you can compare pre- and post- conversion circulation activity with the click of a button.
